Next month the Free Lionesses fanzine will be running our first fans’ embassy out in France when the Lionesses take on the world at the 2019 FIFA women’s World Cup.

The Free Lionesses fanzine, an essential guide to following England this summer, will be available to England fans for free in hard copy as well as via digital download.

Produced alongside our partners at She Kicks magazine and the FA, the Free Lionesses guide to France provides travelling supporters with a plethora information on the host cities – on everything from transport, sight-seeing, eating out, local culture and much more.

It’s also packed full of information on England’s opponents in the group stage and a breakdown of the Lionesses’ squad before the tournament kicks-off in full.

The 32-page guide was produced in close collaboration with authorities across the game such as the UK and French police, the FA and the British Embassy - to make sure we have everything accurate, reliable and up-to-date.

Deborah Dilworth from Free Lionesses said: “Our fans’ embassy service has been put together by fans, for fans.

“We’re delighted to be in France at our first women’s tournament following Phil Neville and his team, hopefully all the way to Lyon on 7th July.”

Similar to our colleagues in the men’s game, the Free Lions, this summer’s fans’ embassy is organised by the Football Supporters’ Association (FSA) as a “by fans, for fans” service providing information, advice and support for travelling England fans.

Since their introduction in the late-90s, fans’ embassy services have become a mainstay of major tournaments – helping thousands of travelling supporters since their inception. It’s not just information, it’s also practical help that we offer: we’ll do our best to help you solve any problems you may encounter along the way.

Free Lionesses fans’ embassy locations:

  • England vs Scotland, 8th & 9th June: The Waka Bar, 57 Quai des États-Unis, 06300 Nice (Sat 10am-6pm, Sun 10am-4pm)
  • England vs Argentina, 13th & 14th June: Le Trappiste Bar, 23 Rue Racine, 76600 Le Havre, France (Thurs 10am-6pm, Fri 10am – 7pm)
  • Japan vs England, 18th & 19th June: The Waka Bar, 57 Quai des États-Unis, 06300 Nice, France (10am-6pm)

If England progress through the group stage, more details on further embassy locations will be announced online.

All of our assistance is entirely confidential – we don’t share information about any individual with the authorities of our own or any other country. Our help can also extend to putting you in touch with legal assistance should be unlucky enough to end up in trouble with the police.
