Should late postponements earn fans travel refund?

Posted by The FSF 21st December 2010
Football used to be a winter sport. It brought to mind images of freezing footballers hoofing an orange ball around a frozen pitch and fans keeping warm with their brand new Christmas scarf and gloves. Nowadays however, with scores of games called off across the UK, winter football seems to revolve around postponed games and miserable treks home. But are all these last-minute postponements absolut...

Ball hits ref, ref loses wig

Posted by The FSF 16th December 2010
When this clip begins you’ll feel a little disorientated due to the NFL-style grid markings (although not as disorientated as the linesman will by the end). But what do fans make of the move? The FSF would like to hear from fans of both clubs as well as those at Leyton Orient who also have an interest due to Brisbane Road’s close proximity to the Olympic Stadium in Stratford. OPLC ...

And finally... player topples hapless ref

Posted by The FSF 10th December 2010
School kids can be cruel. We’re not condoning it but there can’t be a school in the country that doesn’t have its share of bullies and innocent victims. But when these victims grow up, what becomes of them? They become refs and the bullying continues - check out this clip from the Argentinean league for proof. Ref walks backwards, player bends over to tie laces, ref topples over him. One of t...
